Visit of Prime Minister Kishida during NATO Summit

On July 12-13 Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida has visited Lithuania to attend a historical NATO Summit in Vilnius.

After the Summit Prime Minister and his wife Yuko paid a visit to the Sugihara House, a significant historical site for both Lithuania and Japan. The visit honored Chiune Sugihara's legacy as a diplomat who saved thousands of Jewish lives during World War II.

During the visit, the Prime Minister and his wife were warmly welcomed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sugihara Foundation "Diplomats for Life", Ramūnas Garbaravičius and his wife Birutė Garbaravičienė, the Foundation's shareholder Saulijus Garbaravičius, the Director Ramūnas Janulaitis and other representatives of the Foundation.

The delegation was accompanied by Ambassador of Lithuania to Japan Aurelijus Zykas, Ambassador of Japan to Lithuania Tetsu Ozaki, Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Lithuania to Japan Shigehiro Komaru and other guests.
