Visit by Fukushima Prefecture Governer

On September 6, the governor of Fukushima Prefecture Mr. Masao Uchibori visited the Embassy to express his gratitute for Lithuania's support in abolishing restrictions of Fukushima agriculture products to EU.

Together with Ambassador A. Zykas, they tasted Fukushima peaches and Fukushima cucumber with Lithuanian honey.

During the meeting it was decided to strengthen cooperation between Lithuania and Fukushima Prefecture in the fields of food, radiation safety, and renewable energy.
