Tourism Opportunities in Lithuania Were Introduced to Japanese Travelers

The Lithuanian Embassy participated in traditional Japanese International Tourism Fair JATA-2011 which was held on 29 September – 2 October . This year there was an exceptional opportunity to introduce Lithuania twice.
In the joint Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian booth Japanese were able to learn about the Baltic countries in general, as well as to acquire specific information on travel issues to Lithuania and its leisure activities.
In the separate Lithuanian exposition visitors could get not only the brochures about the tourism in Lithuania. Members of Lithuanian community in Japan, assisting to the Embassy here, were offering also to taste a traditional Lithuanian herb tea.
This tourism fair taking place every year in Tokyo is the biggest of its kind in Japan. During 3 days of its opening it was visited by 37.7 thousands representatives of tourism companies and media as well as by 79.5 thousands of public visitors.
