Speaker of Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania Mrs. Irena Degutienė and the accompanying delegation visited Japan with the official visit following the invitation of the Parliament of Japan on 4-10 October.
There were meetings held with members of Japanese Parliament and Government, business representatives, as well as with executers of R&D institutions during which issues of international politics, perspectives of bilateral economic cooperation, and matters of energy safety were discussed. The highest officials of the Lithuanian Parliament also had a possibility to get to know the latest achievements and projects implemented by some biggest Japanese corporations.
