Sister City Agreement between Kaunas and Hiratsuka

On November 25, Kaunas and the city of Hiratsuka from Kanagawa Prefecture signed a sister city agreement.

Cooperation between the two cities has been developing for 7 years, after Hiratsuka decided to become the city of Lithuanian athletes at the Tokyo Olympic Games. Since then, the two cities have enjoyed wonderful exchanges in the fields of sports, education and culture.

This is the fifth municipal level agreement between Lithuania and Japan.
