Regional Honorary Consuls meeting

The second regional meeting of Lithuanian honorary consuls from Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia countries, organised by the Embassy of Lithuania in Tokyo, took place on October 7.

Ambassador Gediminas Varvuolis expressed his gratitude to honorary consuls from Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Indonesia and Singapore for their assistance in organising the repatriation of Lithuanian citizens during the international transport crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Embassy and honorary consuls discussed various issues of their activities, also the opening of Lithuanian Embassy in Canberra, Seimas election, consular challenges, promotion of Lithuanian culture and export as well as investment in Lithuania.
