Presentation of Lithuanian folk songs and national costume to the local community
The embassy hosted an event presenting Lithuanian National Costume and Folk Songs for Japanese community organized by the Lithuanian community in Japan and the Embassy of Lithuania. The guests of the event learned about the differences in national costumes in the ethnographic regions of Lithuania, admired the costumes themselves, which were demonstrated by representatives of the community and the Embassy, and also listened to folk songs administered live. The participants and guests of the event were greeted by the ambassador, who wished for future cooperation in developing such joint cultural projects. The event was attended by members of the Lithuanian-Japanese Friendship Association, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, as well as representatives of local Minato ward government, members of the Kimono Academy, art representatives and journalists, and members of Lithuanian community. The Global Lithuania Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania and the National Cultural Center contributed to the organization of the event.
