Photo Exhibition "Unseen Lithuania" Opened in Sapporo
To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the restoration of Lithuanian independence, a photo exhibition UNSEEN LITHUANIA by Marius Jovaisa was opened in Sapporo Shimin Hall today. It was implemented in cooperation between the Lithuanian Honorary Consul in Sapporo and the Embassy of Lithuania in Japan.
In his opening remarks, Ambassador Dainius Kamaitis noted that during the 20 years of Lithuania's independence, the country has not only regained its place in the international arena by joining the EU and NATO, but also saw the relations with Japan develop into a new quality. He expressed belief that due to the present exhibition, more and more Japanese would be fascinated with the beauty of Lithuania and include it in the list of their travel destinations.UNSEEN LITHUANIA is being displayed in Japan for a second time. Last year, in commemoration of the Millennium of the name of Lithuania, it was opened in Tokyo.
