Opening of Lithuania House in Fukuyama
On Jan 25 Lithuania House has been opened in Fukuyama.
Lithuania House, hosted by the Honorary Consul General of Lithuania in Fukuyama Mr. Shigehiro Komaru, features the first permanent exhibition dedicated to Lithuania's culture and history. At the opening ceremony, Ambassador Zykas expressed his appreciation to the Honorary Consul General for this remarkable initiative and for his personal efforts to create a comprehensive exhibition in a welcoming and attractive space. “In our challenging times, real friendships not only build bridges between countries, but also contribute to peace. We are grateful to Mr. Komaru for his enduring commitment to strengthening friendship between Lithuania and Japan", Ambassador said.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Ambassadors of Germany and Poland in Japan, as well as other members of the diplomatic community, including Netherlands and Israel.
Lithuania House is open to public. All Fukuyama guests are invited to stop by the exhibition for a pleasant visit and to learn more about Lithuania.
