NTV channel reports on the activities of the Lithuanian-led PRT in Afghanistan

On 24-25 February, a two day report from Lithuanian-led Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) in Ghor Province in Afghanistan was broadcasted on the local NTV channel.
The report from Ghor Province was aimed to help the Japanese society familiarize itself with the conditions and working environment which the Japanese civilians who will be soon deployed to the Lithuanian PRT in Ghor will be facing. It focused on the PRT's development assistance activities, showing views from a small hydro power plant, a hospital, civil servants training center, as well as the faces of the grateful local people for the assistance received from the Lithuanian-led PRT and other donor countries.
The timing of the report was related to the Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso visit to Washington and the summit talks with the US President Barrack Obama on international commitment to fight terrorism and rebuild Afghanistan.
