Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on cooperation between Lithuania and Japan in the fields of technological innovation, industrial research, and development

On September 25, Japanese Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute (ATR) and the Innovation Agency Lithuania signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on cooperation between Lithuania and Japan in the fields of technological innovation, industrial research, and development.

MOU will help better coordinate activities and resources, as well as implement programs and projects to facilitate cooperation between Lithuanian and Japanese companies and organizations.

Minister of Economy and Innovation Aušrinė Armonaitė also held a bilateral meeting with ATR to further discuss progress in our cooperation in innovations with Japan.

MOU signing ceremony was held during the Life Science Baltics 2023 event in Vilnius, where a special Lithuanian startup pitching event also took place.

”We are delighted to expand cooperation with the Institute, as ATR begins selecting promising Lithuanian startups to participate in its special acceleration programs. We congratulate ”Integral Solutions”, the first Lithuanian startup to be selected for acceleration with ATR during the recent pitching session at Life Science Baltics”, commented Commercial Attaché in Japan Aleksandras Laurinavičius.
