LITHUANIAN STATE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2015-2016

Education Exchanges Support Foundation is offering the quota for the Lithuanian state scholarships for students, lecturers and researchers of higher education and research institutions from the following countries: Japan, Philippines, Australia and New Zealand.

Lithuanian state scholarships programme is designed for the advanced students, lecturers or researchers of foreign higher education and research institutions to enable them to study or carry out research at higher education or research institutions of the Republic of Lithuania. Students, lecturers and researchers from different fields of studies or research are welcome to apply for Lithuanian state scholarships.

Depending on the country of residence 4 types of scholarships are offered in the academic year 2015-2016:

  • Scholarships for Lithuanian language and culture summer courses;
  • Scholarships for short-term studies of all fields;
  • Scholarships for Lithuanian (Baltic) studies;
  • Scholarships for research visits.

Lithuanian state scholarship programme does not provide scholarships to cover full degree studies, therefore normally an academic degree or diploma cannot be obtained during the period covered by the scholarship.

The study or research visit must take place from September 2015 to June/July 2016. The autumn semester in higher education and research institutions of Lithuania normally lasts from September until January and spring semester – from February until June.
