Lithuanian Film „Perpetuum Mobile“ Premiering in Japan at EU Film Days 2009

The seventh edition of EU Film Days, showcasing the diversity of European Union cinema, launches on 29 May and runs to 20 June at the National Film Center of the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo.Lithuanian film “Perpetuum Mobile” by internationally re-known film director Valdas Navasaitis is premiering in Japan on 6 June, Saturday, 1 pm and June 11, Thursday, 7 pm at National Film Center. The film will open the first edition of EU Film Days  in Kyoto on 17 June, Thursday, 7 pm, at the Goethe Institute.    watch trailer“Perpetuum Mobile” is a powerful and subtle film about the midlife crisis of a group of friends. It focuses on Ron, a divorced man, who wastes his time with drinking and playing cards in the bar run by his childhood friend Adi. Here he meets Dina, an intriguingly beautiful woman who seems to have her own bond with Adi. One day Ron is thrown out of the bar for being drunk and in debt. Dina steals the takings and they set off on an impetuous adventure…The film was premiered at International Film Festival Rotterdam 2009.
