Lithuanian Ceramics Presented at the International Lifestyle Fair in Tokyo on June 3-5

Lithuania presented its handmade fine ceramics products at the International Lifestyle Fair in Tokyo. The exhibition was held at Tokyo Big Sight on June 3-5, 2009. The Lithuanian company Midene exports about 70 percent of its products to Europe. Participation in the international fair in Japan is the company’s first experience. Visitors showed a considerable interest to the Lithuanian hand made products during the three days of exhibition.

The leading “Design-Oriented” trade fair is the biggest fair in Japan and Asia. In 2009, 630 exhibitors from 35 countries present their products for Japanese buyers. It is expected that exhibition will be visited by 40,000 retailers. The fair serves the top trend pool for kitchen, cooking, furnishing and decorating items, as well as for home accessories and home textiles. From small local workshops to large enterprises, the trade fair site holds an impressive array of exhibition booths. With home furnishing retailers and department store buyers at the core, a wide range of visitors of various trades including designers, architects and contractors explored the booths to experience the flavor of world lifestyle trends.
