Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony

On August 6, Deputy Head of Mission Justina Krutulytė participated in the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony.

Together with Prime Minister of Japan Mr. F. Kishida, member of Organization of United Nations Ms. Nakamitsu, the citizens of Hiroshima, and colleagues from the diplomatic corps in Japan the representative of Lithuania stood in minute of silence in front of the Cenotaph, commemorating the victims of the first atomic bombing in human history.

A Peace Memorial Ceremony is held in Hiroshima to comfort the souls of those who died from the atomic bombing and continue to pray for world peace. It is important that the international community remains united in fighting the aggressor and supporting international order and the rule of law.
