Gratitude to Japanese Rotary members for their donation to Kaunas Sugihara House
Ambassador G. Varvuolis presented letters of appreciation to Yuichi Fukuhara, Governor of Rotary International District 2750, and Eisuke Ushijima, President, Rotary Club of Tokyo Sanno District 2750, in the presence of Honorary Consul of Lithuania Takeshi Okawara.
On behalf of the Embassy, the Sugihara „Diplomats for life“ Foundation, as well as the Sugihara museum staff, Ambassador expressed sincere gratitude for the donation by Japanese Rotary members to Sugihara House in Kaunas.
Empathy and generosity of Japanese friends towards Sugihara House allowed to maintain the museum active in the most difficult of times, and thanks to their generous donations, Sugihara House can continue its mission of spreading the humanitarian ideas of Chiune Sugihara.
