Governor of Gifu Mr. H. Furuta awarded the Order for Merits to Lithuania

President of the Republic of Lithuania Ms. Dalia Grybauskaitė has conferred on Mr. Hajime Furuta, Governor of Gifu Prefecture, the Order for Merits to Lithuania, for his outstanding contribution to fostering close bilateral cooperation between Lithuania and Japan.

Mr. H. Furuta has received the Award in a solemn ceremony on July 6, 2019, at the President’s Office in Vilnius.

He also had a meeting with the Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Linas Linkevičius, who thanked the Governor for his exceptional attention to cooperation of Gifu with Lithuania.
