First performance of Lithuanian live electronic music in Japan
“Metroscan” - an audiovisual concert performed live by leading digital sound and multimedia artist Vytautas V. Jurgutis and video and animation artist Vaclovas Nevčesauskas will take place on March 24th in Tokyo and on March 27th in Osaka. It is going to be the first Lithuanian live electronic music performance in Japan.
“Metroscan” reflects IDM, electronics, glitch, beats, real-time generated computer graphics, visuals, various nowadays data streams, post-urban and post-internet aesthetics.
Since the beginning of the project in 2010, the authors have performed live at “Fabric of Arts” in Vilnius, Lithuania, various Europe’s festivals, such as “Streaming” Haag (Holland), “Eclectica” Tartu (Estonia), “Frischzelle” Cologne’s KHM (Germany), “Streetwaves” Gdansk (Poland), “Punto de Encuentro” Valencia (Spain), “KoventZero” Barcelona (Spain), “Madatac” Madrid (Spain) and various Asian festivals – “Sound Reasons” Delhi (India), “Tommorow” Shenzhen (China), “Subliminal Lounge #3: SONICITY”, Kowloon (Hong Kong).
