Documentary „The Other Dream Team“ on February 16
On the occasion of the commemoration of the Day of Restoration of the State of Lithuania, February 16, 1918, the Embassy of Lithuania in Japan kindly invites you to join an exclusive streaming of the film „The Other Dream Team“ (in Lithuanian/English, with Japanese subtitles) on February 16, 2021.
„The Other Dream Team“ is a documentary film that covers the inspirational story of the 1992 Lithuanian national basketball team and their journey to the bronze medals at the Summer Olympics in Barcelona. The film not only looks at the Lithuanian team but also at the broader historical events. The fall of the Soviet Union and re-establishment of Lithuanian’s independence allowed it to enter the Olympics as an independent country. As we are getting ready for Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games, let us enjoy this story of hope, Olympic passion, love for sports and for homeland.
