Direct non-stop flight from Tokyo to Vilnius
On November 18, 2022, Lithuanian Honorary Consul General Mr. Shigehiro Komaru organizeda direct non-stop flight from Tokyo to Vilnius dedicating it to 100 year anniversary of friendship between Lithuania and Japan.
The flight of friendship carried 170 passengers, representing Japanese business, academic and cultural communities and was accompanied by Dr. Aurelijus Zykas, Ambassador of Lithuania in Japan
During the intensive four-day visit program the delegation was inspired by the welcoming meetings with the Prime Minister Šimonytė, Chief Advisers of the President of the Republic of Lithuania, Vice-minister of Foreign Affairs Egidijus Meilūnas, as well as by fruitful visits to Vilnius and Kaunas municipalities. The delegation also took part in academic and cultural engagements, echoing the centenary of Lithuania and Japan friendship celebrations. Multiple initiatives were discussed and ideas for future cooperation exchanged.
Embassy of Lithuania is delighted that bilateral relations between Lithuania and Japan are scaling new heights (quite literally!) and bring the two nations ever closer together.
