Day of European Languages

On October 1, together with the European Union countries the European Union delegation in Japan organized the Day of European Languages.
At the Lithuanian language stand, it was possible to hear how the most archaic living language in Europe sounds. Here,one could learn Lithuanian proverbs, explore the Indo-European "language garden" installation, and play with stamps of Lithuanian alphabet. During the event, Agnė Staupelytė, a student of the Academy of Education of Vytautas Magnus University and an intern at the Embassy of Lithuania in Japan, taught everyday language lessons.
