Consular Mision to Australia Scheduled for September 18-26
The second consular mission by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania and the Lithuanian Embassy in Japan will visit Australia in September to process passport and citizenship applications and to provide other consular services to Lithuanians.
The mission’s working schedule is as follows:

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
A Lithuanian citizen applying for a LITHUANIAN PASSPORT or renewing a Lithuanian passport has to provide:
1. present Lithuanian passport (first time applicant who has been granted the Lithuanian citizenship must provide his/her valid Australian passport and the Decision by the Migration Department confirming the Lithuanian citizenship)
Consular fee of 100 euros will be collected. In Australia, consular fee can be paid in the equivalent of AUD based on the valid exchange rate.
Additional documents will be required to submit if a Lithuanian citizen has had the GIVEN NAME OR THE LAST NAME CHANGED:
- if a Lithuanian citizen became married and wishes to have his/her last name changed in the Lithuanian passport, he/she has to provide the original of the marriage certificate issued in Lithuania.
If a Lithuanian citizen married in Australia and his/her marriage was not registered in Lithuania yet, he/she has to provide the original of the Australian marriage certificate with the Apostille attached and translated into Lithuanian. In this case, passport of the spouse has to be provided as well.
- If a Lithuanian citizen wishes to have his/her last name changed in the Lithuanian passport, he/she has to provide the original of the change of name certificate issued in Lithuania.
If a Lithuanian citizen has had his/her name changed in Australia and the change was not registered in Lithuania yet, he/she has to provide the original of the change of name certificate or Deed Poll with the Apostille attached and translated into Lithuanian.
