Concert on the Occasion of the Day of the Restoration of the State of Lithuania (REGISTRATION IS CLOSED)

Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Japan has the pleasure to announce a concert by violinist Ms Žydrė Ovsiukaitė, on the Occasion of the Day of the Restoration of the State of Lithuania, which will take place on Friday, February 14th, 2020, at 19:00 (doors open at 18:30) at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania, 3-7-18 Motoazabu, Minato-ku, Tokyo 106-0046. After the concert, guests will be invited for a glass of wine and snacks. About musician

Žydrė Ovsiukaitė was born in a musician family. In her early age started studying violin and finished National M.K.Ciurlionis school of Arts in 2011. Žydrė graduated Lithuania Academy of Music and Theatre gaining Bachelor diploma in Performing of Arts (2015), Master diploma in Performing of Arts - Solo Violin (2017).

During Žydre’s study years she actively participated in various solo and chamber music competitions and music festivals in Europe. Due to international achievements in 2015 Dalia Grybauskaitė, Lithuania’s president presented an official greeting for a successful international debut. In 2019 Žydrė Ovsiukaitė successfully participated in several music competitions in Japan — 7th Aoniyoshi International Music Competition 1st prize in her age category and Professional stage Grand Prix (Nara); 13th International Cecilia Music competition 1st prize in her age category (Tokyo); 20th Osaka International Music competition 2nd prize in age category G (Osaka); 28th Japan Classical Music competition 4th prize (Tokyo).
