Concert of Lithuanian Musicians on March 12 on the occasion of the Day of Restoration of Independence of Lithuania
On the occasion of the 31st Anniversary of Restoration of Independence of Lithuania the Embassy of Lithuania invites you to a Concert of Lithuanian Musicians Žydrė Ovsiukaitė (violin) and Anastasija Ozerova (soprano) with participation of Yukari Yamada and Ayaka Imai (piano) on Friday, March 12, 2021, 17:30-19:10 (door opens at 17:00) at Akasaka Civic Center, 3F Akasaka Community Plaza 4-18-13 Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo. Free of charge and open to general public (capacity 200 persons).
Precautionary measures against COVID-19 - guests are requested to:
- attend wearing a mask
- wash your hands with soap and/or hand sanitizer
- write your name and contact information at the reception (Your information is to be protected properly by and used only for any urgent case that we need to contact you regarding pandemic precautions.)
- keep social distancing (1.5m-2m), and avoid close contact
- follow the seating plan and seat in every other row
- refrain from participating if you feel sick, your temperature is higher than 37.5° C or you were in close contact with a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 case
- understand that gifts to the musicians will not be accepted

Artists' profiles:
Žydrė Ovsiukaitė (violinist)
Žydrė Ovsiukaitė was born in a musician family. In her early age started studying violin and finished National M.K.Ciurlionis school of Arts in 2011. Žydrė graduated from Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LMTA) gaining Bachelor diploma in Performing of Arts (2015) and Master diploma in Performing of Arts - Solo Violin (2017).
Since 2012 Žydrė started playing duo with piano “Duo Presto”. In 2013 won the 1st prize in Lithuanian chamber music competition, In 2014 at Harmos music festival (Portugal), she won 3rd prize and special reward at International VIIth S. Vainiūnas chamber music competition. In 2019 Žydrė Ovsiukaitė won the 1st prize and Grand Prix of the professional stage at the 7th Aoniyoshi Music Competition in Nara; 1st prize in Cecilia IMC in Tokyo; 2nd prize in 20th Osaka IMC in age G category; 4th prize in 29th Japan Classical Music competition.
As a soloist Žydrė has performed solo with Klaipėda chamber orchestra; Kaunas Youth chamber orchestra; Vilnius state St.Christopher’s chamber orchestra, LMTA symphony orchestra. Also the violinist had lessons with P. Munteanu, S. Malov, J. Meissl, A. Kouyoumdjian, A.Barachovsky, B.Garlicki, Prof. A. Mitterer, M. Iurato, M. Kamiya, K. Harada. Participated in masterclasses in Germany, Italy, Sweden, Austria.
In 2013, Ž. Ovsiukaitė became member of Vilnius State St Chistopher’s Chamber Orchestra, and in 2016-2017 she was the concertmaster of the St. Christopher’s CO. Since 2016 she is a guest player in Orchestra Ensamble Kanazawa.
Presently, Ž. Ovsiukaitė is a freelance artist in Japan. In 2015 she received Lithuania’s President Dalia Grybauskaitė’s official greeting for a successful international debut.
Anastasija Ozerova (soprano singer)
Anastasija was born and grew up in Lithuania. She started playing piano at 3 years old and entered Balys Dvarionas School of Music, piano specialization. She started vocal training with a professor of Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, Irena Laurusiene at the age of 15. After the graduation Anastasija entered the University of Manchester (UK) where she was a soprano singer at Manchester University Music Society and sang at recitals and concerts at such concert halls as The Bridgewater Hall, The Martin Harris Centre.
She has worked with a renowned vocal coach Douglas Martin in New York, and around the same time she did a duo with an American classical guitarist Peter Fletcher, with whom she did a tour and sang at Carnegie Hall.
Anastasija is a laureate of international competitions, such as ”21st Century Art” (Portugal) 2nd place, ”Muzikos Garsai” (Lithuania) 1st place and others.
Anastasija has performed opera roles such as Belinda’s role in H. Purcell’s baroque opera “Dido and Aeneas” and grandmother’s role in M. Vaitkevicius’ opera-tale “Pupa ir seneliai”.
Currently Anastasija lives in Japan, where she sings at recitals, concerts and festivals. Some of the halls where she has appeared at are The Symphony hall, May Theater, Kyoto Rohm Theater, Galaxcity Hall etc.
Yukari Yamada (pianist)
After graduating from Toho Girls' High School Music Department, Yukari Yamada graduated from Toho Gakuen School of Music with a degree in Piano. During studies she performed in Ravel's "Ma Mère Roi - Five Pieces for Children" and Saint-Saëns' Symphony No. 3 “L'Ouverture” in a joint concert of Toho Gakuen Orchestra and Toho Orchestra Academy in London.
In 2005, she played with the Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa at Hokuriku Newcomers' Competition. In 2007-2009, she performed 48 pieces of Mendelssohn's "Mute," 21 pieces of Chopin's "Nocturnes," and 12 pieces of "One Year," a suite by Fanny Hansel in a series of concerts at the Kanazawa Gramophone Museum.
In 2010, Yukari Yamada won the "Joint Recital Award" at the Fukuoka International Music Festival. She has given piano recitals in 2010-2012, 2019 and other years. In 2013, she performed at the final concert of Professor Arbo Valdma's master class in Lichtenberg.
In the field of choral music, she has played with many choral groups, including Chorus Group "Kanazawa Frauenkor", Choir Group "Ongaku Shitsu", Mixed Chorus of Imizu City, Kanazawa Citizen's Choir, National High School Cultural Festival Toyama.
Yukari Yamada was the pianist for Albert Schweitzer Chamber Choir in Hamburg (2014), and has performed as solist and chamber musician with Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa and at Ishikawa-Kanazawa Green Spring Music Festival and other festivals, as well, as opera pianist, in "The Marriage of Figaro", "Madame Butterfly", "Tosca", "Sotoba Komachi", "Rigoletto", "Mimi-nashi Hoichi”.
Ayaka Imai (pianist)
Ayaka Imai was born in Takarazuka. She graduated from the Kyoto City University of Arts. She studied under such renowned pianists as Kazuyo Matsui, Rintaro Akamatsu, Atsuko Okada, Yasuko Matsuda, Chiharu Sakai, Shinya Okahara, and Giuseppe Mariotti.
Ayaka Imai was awarded the Gold Prize at the Yamaha Young Pianist Recommendation Concert; the Second Prize at the Takarazuka Vega Student Piano Competition; the prize and invitation for a recital at the Art Center of Kobe memorial Piano Competition; the Prize at the Japan Classical Music Competition; Silver Prize at the Tokushima Music Competition, etc.
She has performed a piano concerto by Prokofiev with the Polish National Krakow Chamber Orchestra. She was selected to perform at the Kyoto City University of Arts Piano Festival. She is a member of the Takarazuka city the Music Artist Association.
She is currently a solo and chamber pianist in Japan.
