Ambassador G. Varvuolis visited Kanazawa
On December 2, Ambassador G. Varvuolis visited Kanazawa, where he attended the solo concert of Lithuanian musicians Žydrė Ovsiukaitė and Danielis Rubinas at the Ongakud Concert Hall in Ishikawa Prefecture and welcomed participants of the event. During the visit, the Ambassador also met with Kanazawa Mayor Yukiyoshi Yamano and Ishikawa Prefectural Chamber Symphony Orchestra managers and other cultural and artistic figures of the city.
During the conversations, the contribution of Lithuanian artists who are living and working in this city and are bringing the cultures of both countries closer together was welcomed. Also, opportunities to develop such cooperation by organizing tours of Kanazawa art performers in Lithuania, commemorating anniversaries of bilateral relations between Japan and Lithuania, was discussed.
