Ambassador G. Varvuolis presented letters of credence to the Governor-General of Australia

On 1 November, the Ambassador of Lithuania Gediminas Varvuolis presented his credentials to the Governor-General of Australia Peter Cosgrove.

Following the solemn ceremony, the Ambassador and the Governor-General of Australia discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, the European Union - Australia cooperation and the international agenda.

The Ambassador G. Varvuolis, who resides in Tokyo, is the third Ambassador of Lithuania to Australia.

Lithuania and Australia established their diplomatic relations on 6 November 1991.
