Ambassador A. Zykas visited Kuji city

On August 31, Ambassador of Lithuania to Japan Aurelijus Zykas and First Secretary Aistė Šaduikienė visited Kuji, sister city to Klaipėda.
Kuji and Klaipėda are those rare places in the world where amber is found in large quantities; both are port cities and have aquariums. The city of Kuji was devastated by a tsunami in 2011, which was later rebuilt.
Later on A.Zykas and A.Šaduikienė together with the representatives of the Energesman company visited the Sekisui plant, which uses the latest microorganism technology and converts toxic gases released during garbage burning into ethanol.
