Lithuania’s Foreign Minister Landsbergis to meet with the Foreign Minister of Romania Bogdan Aurescu
On 13 March, the Foreign Minister of Romania Bogdan Aurescu will be visiting Lithuania at the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis.
The ministerial meeting will focus on the countries’ response to Russia’s war against Ukraine, security issues and the upcoming NATO summit in Vilnius on 11 and 12 July. The two Foreign Ministers will also discuss the enlargement of the Schengen area, the development of bilateral relations and the topical issues of relations with China.
The Romanian troops have participated in NATO’s Air Policing mission in the Baltic states since 2007. This year, Romania will continue to protect the Baltic skies.
In Vilnius, the Foreign Minister of Romania Aurescu will also meet with the Speaker of the Seimas (Parliament) of Lithuania Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen.
