On the 17th of June in Tokyo, Sophia University with the Japanese Association of Slavists and the European Institute of Sophia University hosted international symposium “Baltic languages and their neighbours”, where scientists from Japan, the United States and Lithuania analyzed the history of multilingualism and multiculturalism, as well as current situation in Lithuania and Latvia.
The 15th international film festival "EU FILM DAYS" in Japan will be opened on the 26th of May, 2017 in Tokyo. Lithuanian Embassy in Japan will present the newest works of the Lithuanian authors. This time 25 European countries will be participating at the festival.
On 9 May, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius had conversations with representatives of Japan’s public and private sector and emphasized the achievements of our country’s information and communications technology (ICT) sector. Linkevičius also expressed his belief that the Lithuanian-Japanese cooperation would quickly gain momentum in this sphere.
