On 26 April, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania summoned the Ambassador of Belarus to Lithuania Aleksandr Korol and handed him a diplomatic note, requesting to immediately provide detailed information about the incident at the Ostrovets Nuclear Power Plant (NPP)  of 17 February.

At the meeting with the Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Andriy Reva on 23 April in Vilnius, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius noted that Lithuania spared no effort to create a legal framework to ensure social guarantees and equal rights to the citizens of Ukraine working in Lithuania. It is equally important to ensure the provision of social guarantees to the citizens of Lithuania working in Ukraine.

On 23 April in Vilnius, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius met with the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia. The two Ministers discussed the results of the EU visa waiver programme over the past year and Georgia’s further commitment to ensuring the implementation of a safe migration and mobility policy.

The Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Darius Skusevičius attended the sixth Global Forum for Combating Antisemitism in Jerusalem and presented the Lithuanian Government’s effort to combat anti-Semitism. Lithuania’s Foreign Vice-Minister also met with the Director General of Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Yuval Rotem and discussed situations in the regions of the two countries. The interlocuters also welcomed the close bilateral cooperation.
